Job Description
Advise AWS customers on how to increase their speed of innovation, the efficiency of their IT, and the business value their technology generates by adopting cloud technology from a people, process, and technology perspective.
- Lead proposal development for outcome-based business-IT solution recommendations for AWS adoption in collaboration with sales, solution architecture, and business development
- Ensure that the solutions developed across organizations align with enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet business objectives (cost and benefits.)
- Act as a subject matter expert in the development of business outcome framework integration with AWS methodologies, tool suite selection, and design and methodology execution
- Serve as the AWS executive technical sponsor for strategic customer initiatives
- Actively participate at industry events with thought leadership about cloud, technology, and modern ways of working
- Engage with system integrators and strategic ISVs across multiple customers
- Identify patterns across customers’ needs and challenges to help AWS publish white papers, customer technical case studies, blog posts, pre-sales first call decks, and other content that will drive scale, standardization, and repeatability
- Able to travel up to 60% of the time and communicate effectively in virtual settings
A day in the life
This role supports various AWS customer segments and industry verticals with a regional scope in Asia-Pacific. You’ll work with internal Sales and Solutions Architecture leaders, and advise our largest and most strategic enterprise customers on how they can transform the way they use technology to deliver business value. You’ll spend the majority of your time engaging with customers, using your personal experiences in Cloud transformation to help accelerate their business outcomes. Your secondary focus is thought leadership, including writing and speaking externally and growing the organizational capability internally.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study
- 15 years in a technology-related leadership/executive position
- 10 years of delivering enterprise-wide technology capabilities across multiple business units within large organizations
- 5 years driving change or transformation programs using the cloud
- Experience building highly available and resilient systems
- Presentation skills and thought leadership experience at technology conferences and industry events
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing a multi-hundred-million-dollar IT budget (including cloud and non-cloud estate)
- Executed a large migration to AWS
- Well-connected with C-level executives throughout one or more industries
- Established voice (via blogs, books, presentations, or other thought leadership) in the technology community
- Ability to empathize with a large company s existing legacy – people, process, and technology – and help map a way forward by applying the appropriate lean-agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, or DevOps
- Managed a global team and IT infrastructure
- A career demonstrating an increase in responsibility and an ability to influence non-technical executives
