Job Purpose :

Supervise and control the accounting team by imposing an effective mechanism for acknowledging financial transactions to ensure proper reporting that is in compliance with local rules and regulations and international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise the accounts unit and verify compliance with Aramex policies and procedures and accounting international standards.
• Set guidelines for recognizing financial transactions to ensure timely reporting.
• Validate all financial data in Aramex financial software to ensure accuracy.
• Establish a proper filing system for financial documents to ensure compliance with Aramex policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safe custody of checkbooks and receipt vouchers in compliance with Aramex financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee and monitor the credit team to ensure a targeted average collection period (ACP)
• Motivate and develop staff ensuring that objectives are established and communicated, monitored, and reviewed, to ensure proper reporting.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• English Proficiency
• MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• 5 years Experience as a Chief Accountant
• 5 plus years experience in CargoWise & SAP Accounting system
