Customer service in the home office 


Role: Customer service employee: inside/ career changer: inside (m/f/d) – home office – German-language support
Location: throughout Germany
Salary: EUR 13.55 gross per hour

What is your job as an employee in customer service?

As an employee in Amazon customer service, you have a very clear mission: you prevent problems, solve inquiries and ensure that our customers are enthusiastic. You are the first point of contact for our German-speaking customers and answer their questions by phone, chat and/or email.

This includes everything from ordering and questions about products, to issues related to payments or help navigating our website. Our customer service agents use a variety of tools to navigate, research, find solutions, and communicate effectively with our customers.

What are your working times?

This role requires maximum flexibility in terms of availability in order to be available when our customers need us. This scheduling may include late shifts and weekend shifts. Your weekly working time is 40 hours, divided into an average of 5 days per week.

In order to be able to meet the demands of our customers, we schedule our employees to work different shifts within the working hours of 6 a.m. and midnight, from Monday to Sunday. Your shift plan will be made available to you at least 8 weeks in advance. Holiday work is possible as required and is remunerated accordingly with shift surcharges. You will receive your work plan before the start date.


What are the basic qualifications?

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • if applicable, a valid work and residence permit in Germany.
  • strong written and oral language skills in German.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • DSL line (LAN) or LTE with at least 50 Mbit/s
  • Quiet room that can be closed off from the rest of the living room
  • Ensuring an ergonomic working environment, home office in Germany.
  • Flexibility in availability, for availability in shifts from Monday to Sunday 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (early, middle and late shift, weekend work and overtime as required).
