Key job responsibilities
You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex, cross-functional programs with considerable impact on our ability to scale recruiting at Amazon. You oversee the gap between teams, processes, and system architectures.
You solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks for your team. To ensure business and technical stakeholder needs are aligned, you drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions. You partner with customers and engineering teams to determine which projects move forward and in what priority order.
A day in the life
Your daily routine will include meeting with leadership and your team to plan and execute your goals. You will create mechanisms to drive program and project excellence and hold the team to account to ensure that standards are constantly driven higher. The team places great value on work-life balance – you will work with your team to define norms for when and where work is done, with significant flexibility on office and homework locations.

- 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years of technical program management experience
- Experience with modern software development practices including automated testing, refactoring, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience analyzing business and operational metrics
- Experience leading the development of machine learning systems
- Experience delivering complex projects in partnership with remote colleagues
