Account Manager, Amazon Marketplace

We’re looking for a motivated and driven Account Manager to join our Existing Seller Management (ESM) team in Home & Leisure at Amazon’s Third-Party Marketplace. You’ll join an incredible team working with some of the top Selling Partners in the AU marketplace, with ample opportunity to grow and develop new skills.

Our team operates out of our CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options), and we also support flexible remote working. Key job responsibilities
You will:

  • Work with our top established Selling Partners in the Home & Leisure product family, helping to drive growth across multiple categories including home, lawn & garden, and appliances.
  • Build and grow relationships a wide range of businesses, stakeholders and decision makers, from major Australian brands and retailers to Family-owned SMBs and Startups.
  • Collaborate with Product and Program teams to help with Selling Partner education and adoption of Amazon services such as Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) and Sponsored Advertising.
  • Develop expertise in your category using internal and industry data to understand the competitive landscape, identify customer behaviours, trends and new opportunities.
  • Relay Selling Partner needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams to help improve both Seller and Customer Experience.

A day in the life
Your core role and primary responsibility will be to manage Selling Partners in the Home, Lawn & Garden, and Appliances categories. You will work to accelerate and grow these businesses, helping them adopt Amazon tools and services in order to reach more customers. While the role will be primarily phone and email based, you have flexibility in how you manage your accounts and achieve your KPIs. You will also have the opportunity to take on additional projects according to your strengths, interests and the needs of the business.

About the team
The Home & Leisure team sits within the broader third party marketplace business. We are a high impact team and we manage some of the largest and most complex Selling Partners and Programs. We come from diverse professional, educational and cultural backgrounds, but we are all passionate about the experience of our customers and the success of our selling partners

We work hard, but we also enjoy taking time out to celebrate major milestones and achievements. Some of our recent activities include a harbor cruise, Korean BBQ and Karaoke.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or other relevant degree
  • 1-2 years work experience, with a strong track record of success in exceeding KPIs and performance goals
  • Ability to drive successful projects with a wide range of people at all decision-making levels
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • Experience with ecommerce, brand/product management, sales or marketing
  • Strong business judgement with a proven ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs
  • Strong data manipulation and analytical abilities and experience with SQL
