We are seeking a Business Analyst in the Last Mile Programs team.
This unique role will focus on deep-diving into data, translation of business problems into requirements for analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, process automation and modelling initiatives in AMZL JP.
This role will deliver critical business insights for stakeholders to drive last mile strategy, market competitiveness, network expansion, technology deployment, pricing, compliance, improvement in cost, quality and productivity.

Key job responsibilities

• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into actionable reports/dashboards
• Translate data into actionable insights
• Develop requirements for business initiatives
• Analyze key business metrics to drive business insight
• Identify processes to automate and scale ad-hoc requests and analyses
• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs
• Solve complex problems by building effective models
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions
• Write strategy papers to support executive decision-making

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role
• Advanced skills with Excel for analyzing data (Pivot tables, INDEX MATCH MATCH, etc.)
• Proficiency in writing SQL scripts for analysis and reporting
• Familiar with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, AWS QuickSight
• Business Level of Japanese and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree/MBA
• 7+ years’ experience with Supply chain and/or logistics
• Intermediate level in Python
• Intermediate in machine learning skills
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage analysts and program managers
• Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to analyze quantitatively and problem-solve efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment
• Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
