Cloud Support Associate Intern (Japanese Fluency)

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the market leader and technology forerunner in cloud services. Our Cloud Support team provides technical support to our customers across the globe. We are looking for technical interns to help accelerate our growing Cloud Support business. What you will do: The Cloud Support Associate Internship is a training program for the Cloud Support Associate role. Interns in this program benefit from the opportunity to gain experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, load balancers, and S3 storage solutions. They collaborate with AWS engineers and their peers in a virtual classroom to learn about AWS services and practice troubleshooting techniques. You’ll have an opportunity to apply your new skills through customer case simulations.

Key job responsibilities
• Learn to use groundbreaking technologies
• Develop advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers
• Interact with leading engineers around the world
• Leverage customer support experience to provide feedback with AWS teams on how to improve
• Work on a summer project that could improve support-related processes for our customers

A day in the life
• First and foremost, this is a customer support role – in the Cloud
• You will work on learning about troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions for our customers
• We have training programs to help you develop the skills required to be successful in your role. We hire smart people who are keen to build a career with AWS, so we are more interested in the areas that you do know instead of those you haven’t been exposed to yet

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
• Fluency in Japanese and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical knowledge in systems administration, networking, programming, database, bigdata, analytics, mobile app development, and/or container services
• Interest in learning cloud/distributed computing technology
• Knowledge of the software development or Internet industries
• Interest in learning full application stacks from the OS up to custom applications
