Job Description

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing the adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing the Aerospace and Satellite business? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider for the New Space Sector?


You will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of commercial cloud adoption in the rapidly scaling space and satellite solutions arena. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will create the first impression for our prospective customers through business development activities, follow-ups on their inquiries, and our marketing programs.
You should have both a sales and technical background that enables you to successfully manage a high volume of activity to achieve activity-based metrics, as well as experience establishing credibility with decision-makers. You will actively drive inside sales calls and deliver pipeline and closed business to the sales organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share within the UK region and in support of the Account Team.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
  • Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use case.
  • Serve as a key member of the AWS A&S team in helping to drive adoption of the overall AWS market and technical strategy.
  • Understand the technical considerations and certifications specific to the Aerospace and Satellite sector.
  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
  • Work closely with the customer base to ensure they are successful using our web services, making sure they have the technical resources required.
  • Understand the technical requirements of your customers and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings for developers.
  • In coordination and collaboration with others on the global account teams, prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding quarterly and yearly strategies to align with revenue growth expectations.
  • Accelerate customer adoption and customer satisfaction

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant years of technology-related sales or business development experience.
  • Inside Sales experience in AWS
  • Significant experience in metrics and quota obtainment experience
  • Experience selling to new space and startups, as well as good AWS Cloud sales experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS.
  • Inside sales experience with Space StartUps, Satellite operators, or remote sensing industry
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com preferred).
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Proven track record of metrics and quota obtainment.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
