Barnardo’s Employment, Training and Skills Yorkshire have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic apprentice to join our business support team and help us continue to provide first-class admin support to our busy teams and young people.

About ETS Yorkshire

Barnardo’s Employment, Training and Skills Yorkshire is a Work Based Learning Provider based in Bradford. From this service, we provide learning and skills programmes for young people aged 16-24 including DfE 16-19 Study Programme, Traineeships, and Apprenticeships, including those delivered to our staff team across England and corporately funded employer recruitment programmes, Barnardo’s Employment, Training and Skills Yorkshire aim to engage, motivate and support young people to achieve qualifications, and progress and secure sustained positive destinations such as further education or employment to improve their own life chances and provide a positive future.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Answering telephone/email queries
  • Answering the door and welcoming young people and visitors to the building
  • Data inputting
  • Managing bursary applications/queries
  • Deal with stationary orders and other purchases
  • Assist the Service Administrator in all daily tasks when required
  • Support the delivery team through the provision of general administrative and secretarial

  • Grade C / 4GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills and knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Outlook Email
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
