The position at a glance

Part of BNP Paribas Americas Information Security Cyber Strategy team, the Cyber Security Governance Analyst will be assisting in collecting & consolidating information to prepare various committees defined as part of the BNP Paribas Americas Cyber Security governance, with the respective committee content including and not limited to KPI/KRIs reporting defined, presented, and followed up per the Cyber Security governance charter. This role avails the opportunity to interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization and the globe to obtain understanding of the evolving risks, risk appetite, and controls. It is an exciting opportunity to work with Executives, contribute to and learn to build a highly effective information security culture by championing comprehensive governance framework, monitoring, and advocating key risk metrics.

In detail

  • Participate in the key Information Security committees preparation following defined frequency of BNP Paribas Americas Cyber Security governance.
  • Assist in enriching the agenda, tracking committee activities, ensuring timely distribution of reports, minutes and action plans.
  • Design, develop and appropriately distribute information security reports and presentation materials.
  • Collect, synthesize metrics and reports from IT/IS teams.
  • Regularly liaise with stakeholders from different functions across, to ensure discussions, workshops or tasks are being held as needed for the committees.
  • Partner with key members and contributors to the Cyber Security program, in order to maintain the agenda, ensure datasets preparation and collection, and identify and resolve issues ahead of committees.
  • Continuously improve and maintain reporting and data visualizations while ensuring accurate, relevant and complete data via automation, simplification.
  • Propose improvement initiatives to contribute to the team efficiency including, but not limited to: reporting automation, Information security data consolidation, data analysis and dataviz.

TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
  • Junior/fresh graduates are welcome
  • IT/IS experience, Information Security or IT Governance role would be appreciated.
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Proficiency in organizational and documentation skills, strong coordination with several different teams
  • Ability to work effectively with various teams

BONUS

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx)
  • Programming in one or more languages (SQL, Python etc.)
  • Knowledge of Information Security functions (e.g. data loss prevention and detection, penetration testing, identity and access management, incident response management, and network architecture) and relevant KPI/KRI
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks and regulations such as NY DFS, FRB, FFIEC, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SANS Critical Security Controls, OWASP Top 10 and others.
  • Good communicator with demonstrated ability to convey key messages in a clear and concise manner
