Medical Coder

Required Medical Corder for a medical center in Abu Dhabi Khalifa City.

Location: Abu Dhabi

Candidate should have:

Certification in medical coding.

2 years’ experience in UAE as a medical coder and insurance claims and submission

should have Experience in Ophthalmology Coding

Salary: AED 3,500 to 5,000 (depending upon experience)

Details:

Reviews and verifies documentation supports diagnoses, procedures and treatment results before submission.
Identifies diagnostic and procedural information.
Audits clinical documentation and coded data to validate documentation supports services rendered for reimbursement and reporting purposes.
Assigns codes for reimbursements, research and compliance with regulatory requirements utilizing guidelines.
Follows coding conventions. Serves as coding consultant to care providers.
Identifies discrepancies, potential quality of care, and billing issues.
Researches, analyzes, recommends, and facilitates plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors.
Identifies reportable elements, complications, and other procedures.
Serves as resource and subject matter expert to other coding staff.
Assists Manager or supervisor in orienting, training, and mentoring staff.
Provides ongoing training to staff as needed.
Handles special projects as requested.
Analyzes data needs for reimbursement.
Analyzes medical records and identifies documentation deficiencies.
Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies
Receiving and reviewing patients’ charts and documents for verification and accuracy
Following up and clarifying any information that is not clear to other staff members
Collecting information made by the Physician from different sources to prepare monthly reports
Implementing strategic procedures and choosing strategies and evaluation methods that provide correct results
