Pharmacist

Description

The pharmacist provides quality pharmaceutical services and sees to the supervision of the team of laboratory technicians. He must respect the Code of Ethics of his profession, the Pharmacy Act and its regulations and all provincial and federal laws.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor drug therapy
  • Ensure the verification of prescriptions and the analysis of the pharmacological file
  • Meet the needs of customers by offering them appropriate advice
  • Properly document patient records and do the required follow-ups with patients
  • Monitor and coordinate laboratory activities
  • Work closely with Pharmacy Technical Assistants to provide exemplary customer service
  • Ensure the preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of drugs and pharmaceutical products

Skills and knowledge required:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.)
  • Valid practice permit issued by the Order of Pharmacists of Quebec
  • Demonstrate listening and empathy
  • Communication and team management skills
  • Team spirit
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Sense of organization
  • Developed sense of customer service
  • Attention to detail and meticulousness
  • Very good knowledge of the French language and good knowledge of the English language
  • Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel, Assyst-Rx
