Job Description
A&M’s Insurance CFO Solutions practice assists insurance carriers, brokers, managing general agencies, and third-party administrators to preserve and generate value by (i) improving transparency to key drivers and business performance, (ii) increasing profitability and return on capital, (iii) improving credit ratings, and (iv) evaluating and executing strategic alternatives. Boards of directors, private equity firms, and senior executives retain A&M to ensure that their companies have credible plans and the ability to deliver favorable financial outcomes.
Insurance CFO Solutions professionals provide the following services:
- Strategic Analytics & Planning
- Performance Measurement & Management

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
Data Collection, Validation, and Analysis
- Identify, request, and process relevant data and information to complete fact-based analyses
- Validate all data used in calculations, reconcile models and reports individually and in aggregate
- Think critically, and apply rules to independently produce accurate and reliable analyses
- Compile findings into cogent and digestible spreadsheet templates and presentation slides
Project Management and Implementation
- Execute operational tasks independently (e.g., development of tools/templates for client use, tasks requested by the client, presentation slides, etc.)
- Quality check one’s own work product to ensure that it addresses the subject question flows logically, and is free from errors
Teamwork
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other team members
- View all interactions as learning opportunities
Financial Acumen
- Possess financial modeling experience and basic understanding of financial statements, treasury and cash management, and cause & effect relationships to trial balance accounts
ACCREDITATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with an educational concentration in relevant areas (accounting, finance, economics) preferred but not required
- 2-4 years of experience related to Accounting and Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity
- Experience in building integrated financial models and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Industry experience with insurance brokerage, managing general agencies or carriers
