Copywriter Jobs in New York

The Copywriter will be responsible for conceiving, writing, editing, and executing breakthrough communications for MSG Sports. We’re looking for a creative storyteller with an equal passion for writing and concepting.

• Write on-strategy, on-time, and exceptional creative work for MSG Sports and its teams/brands and engage with fans in the social and digital space.
• Collaborate with the creative team members on big ideas and copy for brand work, ticketing, social content, and marketing partnerships.
• Review and edit copy submitted by other marketing team members and external freelancers to ensure the writing is engaging and compelling, error-free, and on-brand.
• Write copy for both online and offline deliverables in both digital and traditional environments.

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or similar.
• 3-5 years of experience in advertising and brand content creation, preferably on a creative team in an agency or agency-style environment.
• Superior strategic thinking, superb writing and editing ability, confidence, a keen eye for detail, grammar, and style, and a deep passion for sports and popular culture.
• Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, positive, and a clear communicator.
• Highly motivated with a high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently in support of creative goals and business objectives.
• Ability to get other people excited about ideas and sell them in.
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
• A strong portfolio of creativity that demonstrates originality, innovation, problem-solving, and personal expression.
