The Cyber ​​Security Engineer (m/f/d) accompanies our projects from various industrial sectors in all questions of cyber security from the preparation of the offer to the commissioning at the customer. The focus of the task is in the area of ​​OT (operational technology, e.g. HMI’s & SPS) or plant-related IT (e.g. associated engineering stations, data acquisition systems and remote access infrastructure). The cyber security engineer translates the customer’s cyber security requirements into system solutions that can be implemented on the system based on the existing GE portfolio. Furthermore, he is able to explain to internal and external customers during the offer phase how the existing GE solutions match the customer requirements.

Your tasks

• Accompanying our projects regarding cyber security from the offer phase to implementation at the customer
• Evaluation of the requirements in the area of ​​critical infrastructure, such as power plants and railway operations, and the development of measures to meet the requirements
• Design/adaptation of the system architecture according to customer specifications
• Definition of the configuration of the different devices (PC, switch, firewall but also PLC and monitoring stations) for the different projects
• Preparation and support of certification of procedures and standard system architectures according to IEC62443-3
• Planning, monitoring/execution and evaluation of test activities
• Continuous coordination with the development of our automation components and monitoring of the tests on the automation systems
• Planning, conducting and participating in cybersecurity technical meetings with customers, classification societies and suppliers
• Drafting of general procedures and guidelines for cyber security in industrial plants and coordination with colleagues in UK, France and India
• national and international trips for technical meetings, site visits and customer visits

your profile

• Completed university studies in the field of industrial IT, cyber security, IT with a specialization in cyber security, automation & IT or comparable
• Very good knowledge of cyber security and industrial IT/OT, especially IEC 62443-3 desirable
• Good knowledge of MS Windows environment, computer networks and PLC environments
• Very good technical understanding and analytical way of working
• Very good communication skills and enjoy contact with customers
• Fluent German and English skills
• Organizational skills and leadership qualities
• High degree of initiative and motivation for self-initiated further education
