Flooring Installer


We are looking for a Flooring Installer to join our team as a full-time, permanent employee based out of our Alberta Regional Office. As the Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing, removing and repairing various types of flooring products such as carpet, ceramic tile, hardwood and vinyl throughout our Edmonton and Southern Alberta apartment sites.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Ensure all work orders are closed and corresponding paperwork is submitted in a timely fashion
  • Inspecting, cleaning, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered
  • Removing and disposing of existing floor coverings and/or carpet remnants
  • Preparing floors for installations
  • Measuring, cutting and installing underlay and underpadding
  • Measuring, cutting, nailing and caulking baseboard and shoe base
  • Preparing and installing vinyl, hardwood, and carpet flooring
  • Follow safety procedures during all repairs and maintenance
  • Responsible for the use and care/maintenance of company tools, vehicles, and equipment
  • Performs other related duties as required.

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum 3 years of carpet installation experience
  • Knowledge and demonstration of safety with hand/power tools
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete assigned duties efficiently
  • Computer skills
  • Travel to site and off-site locations will be required and must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be physically capable of performing all essential duties of this role
