Administrative Assistant
About the job
The Job holder’s functions include but not limited to the following:
- Typing Commercial Agreements, leases, and any other legal documents
- Typing various legal and general correspondences between the Company and other parties.
- Screening and receiving calls for and on behalf of the Legal Manager and Corporate Services Manager
- Maintenance of an efficient filing and mailing system in the Legal Unit
- Dispatching the Legal Unit’s correspondences to the various departments within and outside of the Company
- Maintaining reliable data on all the Company Landed Properties
- Liaising with the Treasury Division of the Finance Department to ensure that all payments due to third parties are promptly paid.
- Organizing inter-departmental meetings within the Company for and on behalf of Corporate Services Manger and the Legal Manager
- Organizing business meetings between the Corporate Services Manager, Legal Manager, Legal& Estate Officer and third parties outside the Company
- Generally, assisting the Legal Manager to ensure that the Legal Unit runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Coordinating various Insurance packages for staff.
- All other lawful and reasonable tasks that the Legal Manager and Corporate Services Manager will delegate to the job holder from time to time.
Qualification Required & Experience
- Degree/HND Administration,
- Three (3) years post-qualification working experience in a similar position in the Oil Marketing industry or Insurance or Law Firm
Desirable
- Professional Membership of a recognized Secretarial/Administration body
- Knowlege of legal documentation

- Must be Familiar with the format of Legal Documents
- Good telephone manners to be able to portray a good image of the Company
- Must be tactful, loyal, and dependable and be well-groomed in appearance
- Must be confident and be good confidant.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally
- Ability to pay attention to detail
