Healthy Planet is looking for an experienced Product Specialist to assist with the sales and operations of Healthy Planet. The successful candidate will be responsible for demonstrating and explaining products, methods, or services while processing sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently. This position is perfect for a team player who has a strong background in holistic health, nutrition, health and wellness, and customer service and is passionate about living an active lifestyle!

Responsibilities

• Engage in meaningful conversations with customers and deliver exceptional customer service
• Drive sales to achieve the required daily, weekly and monthly targets
• Work well in a team environment and use available resources to ensure that the customer and store expectations are met
• Provide customers with relevant information, products, and guidance (within reason) regarding their natural health needs
• Replenish and stock merchandise appropriately on displays
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working and shopping environment
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and beauty items in the department
• Process transactions via the POS system
• Comply with all company rules, regulations, policies, and sanitation standards

Requirements

• Must have knowledge of natural health, including vitamins, supplements, and nutrition
• 1-2 years of Health Product Knowledge is an asset
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Ongoing and up-to-date knowledge regarding nutrition trends and attaining optimal health
• Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English with customers, peers, and management
• Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and climbing ladders
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
• Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
