About the role:
A vacancy has arisen at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, London for Medical Laboratory Assistant. This is a full time permanent post.
The department processes a varied range of clinical specimens; the role involves the receipt of samples, data entry using the Laboratory’s information management system, answering telephone enquiries, general laboratory duties such as maintaining equipment, stock and daily housekeeping. Previous experience is an advantage but full training will be provided. As the laboratory runs a 24/7 service, the hours will be variable but will include late shift, some weekend working, and there will be a requirement to participate in an overnight shift rota.
