Job Description
Musculoskeletal radiology constitutes the application and interpretation of all imaging examinations and procedures as they relate to the analysis of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, and soft tissues.
JOB SUMMARY / SCOPE:
Responsible for using specialized medical imaging equipment to determine a patient’s internal injuries or illnesses. Duties include meeting with patients and talking with them about the types of tests they’ll complete like X-Ray or MRIs or operating medical imaging equipment and communicating with Physicians about their findings to determine patient needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in continuous quality improvement as and when required.
- To comply with the Facility OSH Roles and Responsibilities applicable AD OSHMS Standards and applicable Legal Requirements.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining Facility critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
- Actively participate in the Centre’s ongoing Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Programs and other In-Service Training Programs
- Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Head of the Department
DEPARTMENT SPECIALIZED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluating patients’ medical histories to ensure the various medical imaging procedures will not harm them.
- Suggesting alternative medical imaging techniques, when necessary.
- Informing patients about the medical imaging process.
- Using devices such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines and X-Ray machines.
- Performing or directing radiology staff to carry out image-guided, diagnostic procedures.
- Working with radiology lab technicians to perfect image quality.
- Interpreting the results from diagnostic imaging procedures to determine diagnoses.
- Communicating and discussing results and diagnoses with physicians
- Compiling written reports of results and diagnoses.
- Following medical protocols for resuscitation, bleeding, infection, or other emergency situations, when necessary
EDUCATION
- MBBS/ Master Degree or equivalent with Specialization in Radiology
EXPERIENCE
- Not less than 5 years of experience in a Medical Centre
OTHER: LICENSURE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Licensure in UAE – DOH
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
