Teacher of Physical Education (Male)

The English College, Dubai, seeks a positive, reflective and inspiring male Teacher of PE to work in the PE Faculty and the Secondary School. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and high expectations of all staff and students. They will be open and willing to learn; they will be expected to engage in professional learning with the mindset that everyone can always improve. We are seeking a professional who is passionate about encouraging students to grow and develop holistically – academically, emotionally, physically and socially.

Candidates must also have the necessary skills and vision to use data to meet the needs of all learners, offering appropriate challenge and support.

Although this role is primarily within the Secondary school, a desire and willingness to teach core PE from Primary through to year 13 is essential as is having a track record of developing and achieving success with sports teams. A desire and willingness to contribute to the teaching of GCSE and A level academic PE would be advantageous. Applications from candidates with a rugby specialism would be particularly welcomed.

Successful applicants will:

Be honest, transparent and have integrity.
Have a good honours degree.
Hold a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
Have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching.
Be able to provide a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
Be professional in appearance and conduct
Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school
