Position Overview:

Reporting to the Marketing VP, the purpose of the position is to continuously reinforce Nespresso Equity power and appeal by developing winning communication strategy across paid and earned media, and by orchestrating high-performing campaigns through the full conversion funnel, from awareness and familiarity, to consideration and engagement, so as to positively influence consumers’ perception and preference, and ultimately drive maximum purchase and repurchase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead media & communications strategy and campaign orchestration to drive performance across paid and earned media channels, best supporting both commercial plans and longer-term brand equity development
  • Develop 360 communication strategy and Media plans for Nespresso Canada partnering with Head Quarter, B2C and B2B Marketing leads, as well as representatives of business channels and functions
  • Recommend investment choices to maximize campaign ROI/ROAS and deliver optimal performance along the full conversion funnel through expert campaign set-up and measurement systems
  • Champion Canadian media ecosystems, media audiences definition and core media platforms/partners to secure the best integrated media plans, challenge status quo and be at the foreftont of media landscape evolutions, notably in digital media
  • Reinforce the strength and appeal of Nespresso brand equity in Canada, in coherence with global vision and optimally addressing local consumer insights, as well as different maturities of Canadian geographies
  • Build brand-building plans to drive ever-improving brand health KPIs (Equity Power, Awareness, Consideration, Conversion)
  • Oversee production and / or validation of all consumer-facing communication materials
  • Be the guardian of brand stewardship to ensure elevation and consistency of brand positioning, messaging and content production across all consumer-facing touchpoints
  • Lead and coordinate pool of agencies (creative, media-buying, production) to recommend game-changing media & communications strategies as well as deliver plans executed with excellence
  • Coordinates yearly Scope of Work definition and budget alignment, drive continuous productivity improvements
  • Lead the teams to build clear and actionables briefs to drive strategic recommendation and campaign development
  • Own agency evaluation yearly process and assessment of agency performance
  • Guide and support the Paid Media (Brand content and activation including Performance media), Earned Media (PR, Influence, Events) teams in the strategic development and operational execution of the media & communication plans
  • Build thought-leadership and a winning mindset for the team to feel engaged and motivated to outperform competition through the sharp understanding of consumer insights and the mastery of sophisticated media ecosystems
  • Accompany individual team members and the group in their development, empowering them with expert knowledge and perfecting their skills through regular learning opportunitities

Essential qualifications:

  • Ten to twelve years of experience in core marketing responsibility including solid paid and earned media mastery
  • Ability to shape a strategic vision based on strong analytics and business acument
  • Experience in developing and implementing a 360° integrated media and communication plan
  • Strong track record in leading and developing a diverse team
  • Mastery of the broad media industry (traditional and digital), across paid and earned media channels
  • Thorough knowledge of the Canadian market and its media landscape
  • Strong customer focus and brand building mindset
  • Result oriented, structured and able to drive operational discipline
  • Outsdanding collaboration skills, ability to engage and federate the team, the broader organization and external partners
  • Experience to drive external agencies and support continuous performance growth
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English – French)
