English Technical Editing and Proofreading Internship (m/f/d)

In this internship you will work closely with our COO and be part of a larger cohort of interns with which you will join regular virtual meetups and training sessions.

The Basics

• The EWOR internship will last three months
• Since this is an unpaid opportunity, it is especially important to us that you benefit from your internship by acquiring new skills!

Tasks

• Ensuring clarity, coherence, and consistency in technical language and terminology
• Enhancing the visual appeal and overall presentation of Google Docs, Google Sheets, Canva slides, and PowerPoint presentations
• Collaborating with our programme team to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards in all written materials
• Learning and applying (SEO) skills to optimise articles and blog posts (a.k.a. how to make your content number one)
• Researching a wide range of exciting topics related to entrepreneurship, marketing, branding, and much more to ensure factual accuracy of written materials
• Applying our style guide mechanics to articles and texts to make sure the text matches the tone and style of EWOR
• Prepare and assist in project documentation.
• Networking with a team of talented individuals to further enhance our content standards and strengthen our community with your ideas

Requirements

• Flawless and fluent in English grammar / spelling / punctuation
• Exceptional attention to detail, with an innate drive for precision and perfection in all written content
• Demonstrated ability to spot even the most subtle inconsistencies and errors, and a commitment to rectifying them
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the capacity to effectively review and evaluate complex documents
• A genuine passion for language and an enthusiasm for refining written communication to the highest possible standard
• Reliable, independent, and well-organised in remote work
• You are enrolled at a university and studying English/Linguistics/Media/Communication/Literature/Languages or similar
• You are enthusiastic about communication in speech and writing
• You want to learn more about SEO and content writing
• You like to work independently and can manage your working hours well, but you also feel comfortable working in a team
