- Minimum Teaching Experience: 1 year of teaching experience
- Major: Psychology or Counseling
- Required Certificates:Teaching Credential/License
Bachelor’s degree in Counseling or Psychology preferable with certification in school Guidance Counseling.
A minimum of 1 – 3 years teaching students experience
Evidence of interpersonal relations skills i.e. dealing with parents, students and teachers
Ability to read & write English with clarity
Job Benefits:
End of service indemnity: Half a month’s salary for each year taught at AAG for the first 5 years of service to be received upon completion of service
Relocation allowance: 120 KD, payable upon arrival*
Personal days: 3 per academic year (10 KD paid for each day not used at the end of the year)

Job Description:
Provide a comprehensive guidance program for the students; specifically provide activities to meet the needs of the assigned case load; consult with teachers, staff and parents to enhance the effectiveness in helping students, and provide support to the school educational programs.
1. Counseling
Referral series: self, teacher, parent, school resource personnel, and administrators
Issues of personal/social nature such as peer relationships, goal-setting, problem-solving, time management
Academic concerns such as classroom difficulties, course selection, academic planning and expectations, and study skills
Organize and instruct Character Education Curriculum where needed
2. Academic Planning
Develop a comprehensive School Guidance Program
Provide teachers with pertinent information of students with specific problems (health, personal, learning disabilities, psychological problems, etc.)
Administer MAP assessment tests
Meet with teachers about class placement for the upcoming school year
Identify student in danger of failing for the year
Schedule and chair parent conferences
