Florist

A well-known food business is looking for a Florist on urgent basis who can work on design and creation of floral arrangements. The candidate must have vast knowledge with a variety of different flowers, foliage, and other materials to create unique bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral designs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the procurement team to receive shipments, snipping and displaying flowers items
• Prepare floral arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and other types of floral arrangements
• Maintain inventory of flowers, supplies, and other materials needed to create attractive floral arrangements
• Ordering flowers and other materials from wholesalers/growers to meet demand for specific items on a regular basis
• Consulting clients regarding flower combinations, colours, and other details to ensure satisfaction with finished product
• Create eye catching designs using computerized design software or hand drawing sketches of arrangements
• Coordinate delivery of flowers to events such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions on a regular basis
• Consider customers feedback as a key for the improvements in packaging and designs of floral products

Job Requirements and Skills

• High school diploma in the relevant field is required (Bachelor’s degree is preferable).
• Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable 2-3 years of experience as a florist in a fast-paced Work environment in UAE or developed society.
• Must have strong persuasive skills.
• Acutely familiar with plants’ nutritional needs and life spans and knowledgeable about handling floral techniques.
• Should have creative and unique sense of packaging in the flower industry
• Ability to nourish, combine, and affix flowers and pertinent accessories.
• Approachable, patient, and forthcoming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills.
