About The Job

Our watch manufacturer, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, is looking for a 100% Watch Development Project Manager, on an open-ended contract.


Within the Development team, attached to the Development Manager, you will be in charge of the project from product definition to delivery of commercial parts. You will manage the financial, quality, technical and planning aspects in accordance with the objectives set at the start of the project.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Transcribe the marketing specifications into technical specifications, in close collaboration with the person in charge of the design
  • Collaborate with the “movement” and “cladding” manufacturers for the development of the technical file
  • Validate supplier files with the technical office and seek technical solutions as part of the feasibility study
  • Manage the realization of the prototyping
  • Search for suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing and Quality, based on the product definition validated by the designer and the Marketing team.
  • Monitor and manage suppliers at each stage of the project
  • Monitor development costs (tools, prototypes, etc.) and the cost price of the watch.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance for component approval and control actions
  • Develop and monitor project schedules through defined milestones, while providing weekly reporting to the hierarchy and management.
  • Be a source of proposals on both technical and aesthetic aspects (research for new production techniques, new materials, new suppliers, etc.), ensure a technological watch and participate in various continuous improvement projects.
  • Transmit technical files to the After-Sales Service, after having capitalized on all the elements inherent to the product.

Profile

  • With a background in engineering (or equivalent), you ideally have similar experience in watchmaking.
  • You are recognized for your rigor, your requirement, and your diplomacy.
  • Your ability to make decisions, communicate, negotiate, to work independently, as well as your energy, will be your strengths.
  • Mastery of office tools is essential as well as English.
  • You are motivated to join a manufactory on a human scale, dynamic, with ambitious projects for the future.
