We are looking for a Site Manager at ABB Oy, Marine and Ports division in Helsinki, Finland. Project Management team is part of Marine Propulsion Service Finland organization that supports global marine customers with Azipod® propulsion systems. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating Azipod propulsion units maintenance work sites during dry docking of the vessels. Sites are around the world and work on one site lasts approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

Your responsibilities
- Site leadership by supervising and motivating the site team. Your duties will include planning, scheduling, and installation supervision of the Azipod propulsion systems maintenance and modernization activities in vessel dry dockings in cooperation with the customer, shipyard, and classification society
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with project managers and project team to participate project planning and scheduling
- Acting as key contact with project manager for external customers and actively communicating internally and externally on the project status and planned actions
- Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will ensure that execution of site activities is carried out safely, efficiently and with high quality
Your background
- Technical background, e.g. B.Sc in Engineering or similar field of study
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with challenging operational responsibilities or supervision of sites
- You have proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage site team. A strong focus on safety, quality, and customer orientation
- As a person, you are solution-focused and collaborative, and you have a sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks. You have ability to work in fast pace environment under pressure
- You have experience from direct customer interface, and you have service mindset and good communication skills in English and Finnish
- You have willingness and ability to travel (approx. 100 days a year)
- Experience in the marine industry is considered as an advantage when applying for the position
