Job Description
You ensure that promotional campaigns and initiatives are activated across the customer base. You explain the activation vision, provide support materials and develop in-store point-of-sale (POS) activation requirements.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Engage brand & category teams on appropriate channel requirements and relevant timelines
- Understand and develop with marketing the most appropriate campaign plans by category and retailer
- Understand the key drivers of purchase and be responsible for the development of account/channel-specific POS materials
- Track, post-evaluate, and report activity versus plan of all activity in customers and recommend improvements and key insights for future strategy development

Mondelēz International (Canada) is looking for an experienced Shopper Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team. The successful candidate is a motivated and organized individual who has a passion for bringing consumer brand marketing priorities to life with our grocery customers. This specific role will work closely with our grocery customer business team. This includes being involved in the annual business planning process, end-to-end oversight, management, development/adaptation, and execution of customer-specific marketing programs, as well as amplification of brand-led activations with the customer. Budget planning, management, and post-analysis of shopper marketing programs are also key deliverables for this role.
The Role will include:
- Build our Shopper Marketing strategies with a customer-centric and consumer-first mindset.
- Create value for our retail partners by offering OMNI activations to optimize the pre-shop planning stage all the way through to driving shopper conversion at the point of sale.
- Leverage external and internal insights as well as past performance to optimize existing programs as well as evaluate the best customer programs to partner with and integrate with.
- Track, post-evaluate, and recommend improvements and key insights for future strategy development
- Execute with excellence our shopper marketing priorities & national scale programs from ideation, proposal, and creation all the way to the development of the program and the channel promotional materials. Working closely with key agency partners.
- Showcase strong communication skills to present our programs to key stakeholders and a collaborative leadership style working with key partners (sales, customers, brand, cross-functional team, and external agencies).
- Manage projects, budgets, timelines, ROI analyses, and approvals with key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, the candidate requirements include5-7 years of job experience, with strong knowledge and experience working with Canada’s largest grocery retail customers:
- Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian retail environment and understanding of how to develop OMNI marketing experiences and elements that impact the shopper’s journey and result in conversion at the store and through e-commerce.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with key stakeholders simultaneously to meet key deliverables and ensure we are always executing with excellence
- Develop and deliver effective briefs to agencies (and the internal design team) that result in effective creative communication
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a specialist in Marketing and/or Commerce or a related field
Education / Certifications:
- Undergraduate degree BA with specialization in Marketing and Commerce
