Business Analyst
Role Purpose:
As part of Joint Ventures and Growth projects organisation, you will play an important role in analysing, reporting, forecasting and follow up key financial and non-financial data of Borealis’ Growth JV. In doing so, you interact with senior management, your colleagues in the NAM Alliance office, and the wider Borealis finance community (e.g. business analysts and controllers) as well as management at Borealis’ Growth JV. The role provides a unique opportunity for a finance/economics graduate with minimum two years relevant experience to learn and develop towards an international career.

Responsibilities:
- Analysis of monthly results and performance indicators
- Accurate and timely performance reporting, analysis, and forecasting
- Cost control and follow up
- Prepare management presentations
- Follow up of re-invoicing agreements, time writing and true-ups to ensure timely and accurate issuance of invoices
- Monitor and analyze profitability of distribution business
- Follow industry developments to proactively identify and analyze opportunities, providing solutions that improve business and financial performance
- Support evaluation and development of commercial initiatives
- Investment planning (e.g. prepare business cases, facilitate approval procedure)
- Facilitate annual Budget and Business Plan process, including target setting
- Contribute to developing the NAM strategy
- Ensure orderly business practices and compliance with Borealis policies Proactively involve, cooperate and share knowledge with colleagues
- Active member of the Borealis NAM office team
- Active participation in the Borealis finance network, working together to share best practices and solve common problems
- Support cross-organizational alignment
Requirements:
- University degree in economics, finance, and/or management, or equivalent by experience
- MBA a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably from similar position or finance/controlling environment
- Sound business understanding, preferably from petrochemical and/or oil and gas industries
- Excellent in compiling, analyzing and presenting data
- Strong reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills; both spoken and written
- Expert knowledge of Excel

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
