The Company
Mitolo Family Farms is a family-owned South Australian business, we attribute much of our success to the strength of our people, our brands, and our product quality. Our operations commenced and we celebrate our 50th anniversary of business operations this year. We are a horticultural company that grows packs and distributes potatoes and onions, with our main offices, production packing, and dispatch facilities located in Virginia and Hillston, NSW. Our farm locations are situated in the Mallee and the Riverland Regions.
The Position
As Part-time Farm Administration Officer, you will be located at our Pinnaroo office and report to the Farm Services Manager. This is a diverse and highly responsible role, requiring a person who has the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role which will include providing information for weekly payroll, processing invoices, and accounts-related duties. You will also be responsible for conducting inductions of new staff together with general all-round administrative duties.
This position would suit an already experienced and professional administration assistant looking to broaden their knowledge, highly motivated and up for a challenge.
Your responsibilities will include:
The Administration Officer is the first point of contact for customers, suppliers, employees, and the public.
Our ideal candidate would be able to:
- Manage internal and external calls and ensure messages are forwarded to the appropriate extension.
- Ensure all visitors/customers to reception are inducted in accordance with the WHS policy and procedures, including the provision of any personal protection equipment.
- Monitor and order office stationery and consumables, including office peripherals, furniture and farm employee uniforms, and safety equipment including personal protective equipment.
- Maintain petty cash records and monthly reimbursements.
- Taking and distributing the Minutes of Safety Committee monthly meetings.
- Collect requisition copies from Managers and enter information into Business Central and liaise with accounts in Head Office and the Farm Director.
- Ensure all accounts payable invoices are processed, authorized, and paid on a timely basis and follow up on any outstanding issues.
- Distribute and keep records of requisition books to relevant personnel.
- Collate chemicals, fertilizers, onion bins, and seed stock counts monthly and enter data into an excel spreadsheet
