We are looking for a Manual QA Tester to join our Financial Services Technology team in Toronto.The NIQ Financial Services team uses alternative datasets to help global public equity investors (hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds) make better investment decisions. We work with some of the largest hedge funds in the world. We leverage our deep expertise in data analytics and technology to develop data and market-research products, uncovering changes in consumer behavior and market trends. We put these insights at our client’s fingertips by leveraging a world-class big data infrastructure and cloud-based SaaS solutions.

Job DescriptionAs a Manual QA Tester, you’ll be an integral part of the team and support manual testing for our data teams.

Responsibilities

• Use business intelligence/visualization tools to identify, investigate, and notify anomalies within our data products (data feeds, reports, and dashboards).
• Perform daily and weekly data quality checks on data.
• Support testing and quality activities within an Agile environment, such as performing application testing and UAT.
• Review functional specifications to create test procedures and plans.
• Develop and maintain test scripts for end-to-end quality management.

Qualifications

• 2 years of data testing experience.
• Exposure to ETL and BI testing.
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, professional testing or development experience.
