Job Description

To carry out a preventive maintenance program for the year.
To maintain and repair all kitchen equipment and all related kitchen area works as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
Daily routine inspections on all kitchen equipment, chillers, & cold room freezers to ensure efficient operation.
Logs pressures, temperatures, amperes, and other required variables of all kitchen & refrigeration machinery as stipulated in log sheets or otherwise requested.
To maintain necessary stocks and spare parts to ensure equipment is functioning well without interruption and to follow that up with the technical storekeeper.
Any urgent material & spare parts will be requested by you should be followed up till getting the material & doing the job.
You will follow any outside repair of the equipment till getting back the repaired equipment.
To keep his tools in good working condition.
Execution of daily repair requests/ works as per engineering department manual and manufacturers catalogs.
Always maintains engineering premises clean and tidy.
Completing all needed information in various sheets.
To apply safety measures while working with flammable materials.
To coordinate all the above-mentioned activities with all other activities in the hotel by utilizing the proper chain of command with the objective of securing the full effectiveness of all efforts on common tasks.
Executing any other works requested by the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
At least with minimum two (2) years operating experience in a hotel engineering department
Familiar with the operations and priorities of all other hotel operating departments
