Job Description
HBR Consulting LLC (HBR) is seeking retrieval specialists to join our Research + Information Solutions team. In this role, you will provide high-quality retrieval services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, prioritize and respond to requests while coordinating efforts with team members and the client’s law library department
- Procure known-item document retrieval of journal articles, book chapters/sections, and other legal and non-legal documents
- Arrange Interlibrary loans and maintain log of loaned items
- Perform simple data entry according to standardized practices, including record edits, updates, and corrections in Excel spreadsheets, library catalogs, and other databases
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of passwords for electronic resources and forgotten password requests
- Support RIS department initiatives and other projects as assigned
- Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
- College degree required
- At least 1 year of previous library experience, required, preferably in a law firm library
- Familiarity with legal research resources, including, but not limited to, Westlaw Find & Print, Lexis Get & Print, HeinOnline, West check, Lexis BriefCheck, as well as, general library internet resources, such as Google Scholar, WorldCat, etc.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly effective organizational and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced customer-service-oriented environment
- Dependability, adaptability, and a cooperative attitude
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
