UX/ UI Design Intern
Are you a creative and detail-oriented design enthusiast eager to shape the future of food delivery? Cookin, a fast-growing and purpose-driven company, is seeking a UI/UX Product Designer Intern to join our innovative team. As an integral part of our dynamic growth and product development efforts, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills in Figma, conduct user research, and contribute to the creation of seamless app UI and engaging user experiences.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with various team members across the organization, and work closely to a world-class engineering team to design intuitive and user-friendly app interfaces.
- Work closely with the product team to translate user needs and requirements into effective and visually appealing designs.
- Conduct user research to gather insights and feedback that inform your design decisions.
- Create wireframes and prototypes to iterate and improve the user experience.
- Participate in usability testing to validate and refine design concepts.
- Contribute to the development of Cookin’s product design system, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness in our app’s look and feel.
What we’re looking for:
- A currently enrolled university or college student passionate about pursuing a career in UI/UX product design.
- A creative thinker with a can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Figma, showcasing your ability to design user interfaces and wireframes effectively.
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies, and a desire to create meaningful user experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A self-starter who thrives in an independent and proactive work environment, taking ownership of new projects with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, enabling clear communication within our team.
- This role will be based at Cookin’s vibrant office on Bloor St. // Spadina in Toronto.
- We offer a flexible Fall start date
- A commitment of 20-25 hours per week, with options for both internship and co-op positions.
- $18 per hour
