Teaching Assistant
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate graduate preferably with a degree in education, media, film, or related courses to join our team as Film-making Teaching Assistant / Tutor. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to support teaching activities, assist in marketing initiatives for our growing film school, and provide administrative support in production. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about film-making and production, possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, and is eager to contribute to the success of our growing film school.
Classroom Support:
• Assist the head instructor or tutor directly in a classroom learning environment for students. • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students during classroom activities, projects, and assignments. • Help supervise students during video production and related activities. Marketing Assistance: • Assist in creating content for promotional purposes. • Contribute ideas for social media campaigns, posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials. Production Administration: • Assist with administrative tasks related to commercial film production, such as organizing schedules, keeping track of emails etc.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Passion for teaching, filmmaking, media, and production. • Bachelor’s degree in education, media/film or related fields (preferred but not mandatory). • Previous experience working with children and teenagers is preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. • Proficiency in using various software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and Keynote. • Knowledge of video editing software, equipment, and basic graphic design (such as Canva) is a plus.
