Accounts Payable Clerk

Pennecon’s Corporate office is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following role:
Reporting to the Treasury Supervisor on the finance team, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for the accounts payable function.
Responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Processing of accounts payable transactions;
- Communicate with vendors as required;
- Complete vendor statement reconciliations;
- Complete EFT payments and cheque runs as required;
- Resolve any payment issues with vendors;
- Maintain financial spreadsheets;
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- At least 3 years experience in an accounting environment;
- A certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field would be preferred;
- Experience in the construction industry would be considered an asset;
- Experience in accounts payable or accounts receivables is preferred
- Versed in Microsoft Office and has experience using Excel
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail;
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
