Looking for artists to train in creative services for Corporate special events in and around Toronto. Reputable and Well established Arts based special event company is looking to expand our talent roster for this summer season and beyond. We provide all training, supplies, and sometimes transportation. This is Gig-based work and generally flexible based on availability. It’s perfect for students or people with a day job during the week. Most events are during the daytime on weekends, but once in a while during the week or early evenings.

Typically, the events are between 4 – 6hrs. You can expect to work at least every other weekend and possibly more, but we are flexible with availability. It’s a great opportunity to be introduced to the special event industry and artistic skills that are in high demand for gigging at parties. Our company has been in business for over 30 years, and we are loyal to those that show interest in maintaining a relationship and learning all of the creative & artistic services that we offer our clients including: face painting, air brush tattoos, henna body art, body painting, caricatures, balloonology, murals, make-up, crystal and glitter body art applications, character creation, and the list goes on.

Assets:

– Creative or Artistic ability. (Makeup artists, fine artists, and illustrators do well).

– Comfortable in social situations with Kids and Adults alike, though you will usually be working with a team lead and not left to deal with situations on your own until you are fully trained.

– Reliability is key as the events are contract based.

– Punctuality is critical.

– Ability to work under pressure and keep your cool.

– A friendly disposition and a cooperative attitude is important.

– Good communication skills & ability to reply promptly to job calls/texts/emails.

Job Types: Seasonal, Freelance, Apprenticeship

Salary: From $25.00 per hour
