THE GIG

Working as part of the FRA/BNL/SCA Marketing team, you will lead all PR & Brand marketing and Culture activity in France, positioning Dr. Martens as a brand for different seasons and wearing occasions, rooted in rebellious youth culture.

In addition to:


  • Working cross-functionally, you will lead local PR initiatives in line with our global Marketing strategy
    1. You will work closely with an external PR agency to develop a PR strategy and tactics in line with commercial and brand objectives
    2. You will coordinate product placements for contributors, artists, celebrities, and partners
    3. You will support content creation through media partnerships or through influencers
    4. You will build and maintain relationships with key national and local media outlets
    5. You will ensure PR plans support creative networks and raise awareness for local cultural causes
    6. You will contribute to the global PR reports, following guidelines and maximizing the Global PR Framework
  • Leading cross-divisional Brand Marketing initiatives communicating our brand identity and brand values to the target audience
    1. You will support local creative networks and raise awareness for unrepresented talents and local cultural/societal causes
    2. You will support with Music and Cultural activations including, but not limited to festivals and music gigs
    3. You will support establishing sustainable practices across local Marketing initiatives and support the Dr. Martens Foundation locally.
    4. Analyzing metrics and tracking the success of Marketing activities through KPIs as well as making recommendations for optimization

To be our PR and Brand Marketing Lead you will also possess these qualities:

  • Experience gained in PR and Brand within an international fashion, lifestyle, or cultural brand
  • Fluent English & local language is essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Expertise in Fashion & Culture, especially among Paris spheres of influence
  • The digital-first mindset with expertise in Social Media
  • Ability to dive deep into subject matters to provide thoughtful and comprehensive recommendations for a variety of complex situations
  • Self-motivated, creative, and open-minded personality
  • A high standard of IT literacy is required. Knowledge of graphic design is advantageous
