Scientific employee (m/f/d) at the TU Braunschweig
At the Institute for Joining and Welding Technology at the TU Braunschweig, Department of Material Composites and Boundary Layers, there is a position for a scientific employee (m/f/d). occupy.
The research tasks to be carried out are carried out within the framework of publicly and industrially funded projects in the automotive industry. To support our interdisciplinary team, we are looking for motivated employees who would like to deal with the topic of pollution, cleaning, influencing factors, manufacturing processes and procedures, in the context of sensor technology for autonomous mobility. The activity will take place in one of Germany’s unique research centers for comprehensive research into mobility, the Open Hybrid LabFactory.
Job Purpose/Role
– Surface and surface chemistry, surface cleaning strategies, sensor technology
– Impurities based on inorganic and organic materials
– Boundary surfaces in components made of fiber-reinforced plastics and metals
– Surface pretreatment of fiber-reinforced composites and metals
– Process technology for the production of material composites by press joining or primary forming processes
– Destructive and non-destructive testing methods for characterization of material composites
In addition to project processing, other tasks are to be performed in the construction and operation of the Open Hybrid LabFactory research campus at the Wolfsburg site, as well as tasks in the area of student support and teaching.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
– Above-average degree in mechanical engineering specializing in materials science, plastics technology or chemistry with in-depth knowledge of surface technology
– Previous knowledge in the fields of fiber composite plastics, surface technology
or analysis and adhesive technology is an advantage
– Good written and spoken German and English skills
– High level of initiative , contact and enthusiasm as well as willingness to work in a team
– driving license class B
– willingness to work at the Braunschweig, Wolfsburg and Ingolstadt locations
