Early Intervention Worker
Location: Kingston,London
Salary: £28,104 per annum, including london weighting.
Contract type: Permenant, Full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week,Monday- Friday ,9 am-5:30 pm
We are recruiting for a early intervention worker ,the purpose of the role is to recah out to and support 13 – 17 year-old survivors of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, female genital mutilation, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, forced marriage and ‘honor’-based violence) from the point of crisis, informing them of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options, to help ensure their short-term and long-term safety, reduce risk, enable them to access community support services and achieve their life goals. Increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognize, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence.
We are looking for candidate with experience of providing emotional and practical support within the Domestic violence sector, preferably working with young people and knowledge of domestic (emotional and financial abuse, ‘honour’ based violence and forced marriage) and teenage dating relationship abuse and its impact upon survivors and children.

- Providing non-judgmental one-to-one emotional and practical support to 13 – 22-year-olds survivors of gender-based violence. This will include conducting key work sessions on a regular basis and keeping accurate casework records up to date.
- Establishing the risks to, and the needs of, 13 – 22-year-old survivors of gender-based violence through assessing their practical and emotional support needs.
- Developing individual support and risk management plans, including risk assessments, safety planning, and needs assessments to address the risk of harm to 13 – 22-year-old survivors of gender-based violence.
