Safety Officer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop specific safety objectives and create actions plans to meet those objectives
• Maintain, review and report safety performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as required
• Identifying changes in activities, products and services that may create new QHSE Risks or invalidate previously identified risks, aspects and hazards an ongoing basis.
• Ensuring the contractor and his personnel working inside company are aware and abide to organizations IMS requirements.
• Formulating methods to respond to, mitigate and prevent emergencies, testing them and communication to authorities as per organizations procedure.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA Certification
• University graduate/ BSc/BA in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience as safety officer
• In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA/EPA) and procedures
• Very good knowledge of ISO process and procedures
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Excellent written and Communication skills
• Good knowledge in MS- Office.
• 25 – 35 years old
