ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Working as an integral part of the Nexwsp’áyaḵen ta Úxuwmixw – Community Operations Department, this position reports directly to the Team Leader, this position is dispatched to homes and properties to perform a variety of routine, unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair and construction work which requires considerable physical effort and agility.

The incumbent is also responsible for labour tasks of considerable variety. Scope of work is routine or assisting with non-routine. Incumbents in this position work under supervision and work performance is checked during progress and upon completion for compliance to instructions and the ability to follow established standards and procedures.

What You Bring

  • Combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.).
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus.
  • Team-oriented with a tactful and approachable attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Independent and self-motivated; demonstrates a strong ability to manage and execute their own work.
  • Team player who leads by example and goes the extra mile to ensure projects are delivered within deadlines.

Salary: $ 42,148 – $ 46,260 annually, plus a comprehensive benefit program.
