Pakistani Sweets (Mithai) Chef
The Taste Factory is looking for motivated individuals who are energetic, proactive, love to work in teams, and are eager to prove their worth in the sweets making business.
The ideal person (Kaarigar) should be a master in preparation of south-asian sweets and should have a demonstrable extensive experience in making Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi sweets. The ideal candidate would have worked with other sweet making companies in Canada. They must be punctual, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook batches of a wide variety of individual Pakistani sweets including Rasmalai, Ghulab Jaman, Barfee, Ladoo etc.
- Develop and update existing recipes as per the requirements of the business. Should have a keen interest in innovation.
- Collaborate with co-workers, helpers, and other chefs to complete sweet manufacturing process within the provided timelines, and as per demands of the business.
- Train helper staff in preparation of the sweets.
- Visually inspect and manually check individual batches to ensure quality standards of the sweets.
- Keep track of date of production of batches and ensure freshness of the sweets.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness.
- Maintain required inventory of sweets, and keep a record of prepared food, available raw materials, and equipment needs to fulfill orders.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00-$31.00 per hour
