We’re looking for a multilingual Translator with extensive expertise and a strong academic background. The Translator is expected to undertake a wide variety of tasks in the processing of materials or in circumstances where broad professional competence is required.

Qualifications:

• Stipends and other compensation for employees are prepared for payment by doing clerical chores such as answering phones, welcoming visitors, handling general queries, processing mail, and drafting purchase order requests.

• Utilize reference resources to the fullest extent possible. Must have adequate computer abilities, including Microsoft Office, to generate written translations and products, as well as appropriate internet knowledge to do basic web research.
• Translated District publications include school handbooks and advisories as well as school newsletters as well as forms, urgent phone calls to parents, medical warnings, legal issues, and sensitive information.
• Flyers, social media posts, district-wide announcements, and press releases must be appropriately translated into any language.
• interprets at parent meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events and talks about students’ academic performance, student disciplinary issues, medical problems, and other sensitive topics.
• For the translator to be certain that medical and technological jargon is understood and correctly translated, he or she studies and evaluates it in both the source and target languages before proceeding.
• Creates and maintains databases that include data on the temporary employee pool, such as evaluation findings, hours worked, training status, and other pertinent information.
• Translates and revises the work of others in the District. Assists in the training of District workers and consultants that provide translation services to schools.
• capable of conveying geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural features in a given text. As a general rule, word choice and expression conform to norms and forms of expression particular to the subject area (s) and are resilient enough for the translator to develop in that field.

Skills:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be ready and able to translate in schools and communities using one’s own vehicle
• A bachelor’s degree in translation, foreign language, or a similar discipline or equivalence is necessary, as well as proven interpersonal and writing, and vocal communication abilities.
• Encourage and engage in the sharing of information among coworkers, subordinates, pupils, etc.
• You must be able to speak two native languages and have an understanding of their cultural background in order to succeed.
• The capacity to speak a defined language above the conversational level enables a constituency with low English language skills to participate fully in the indicated process.
