Full Job Description
The Office of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Education is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Administrator to provide business administrative duties to ensure that the office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities with accuracy and speed.
The goal is to ensure that the Office of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs operations are efficient and add maximum value
Administrator’s roles, responsibilities and tasks include:
Assisting in tasks delivery within the Office.
Coordinating activities of the Office as needed.
Assisting Academic advisors in the Consulting Unit during the Registration period.
Preparing and/or circulating notices, policies and procedures and other documentation requiring application of a specialized knowledge
Communicating with the Admission and Registration Department.
Overseeing student recruitment plans and reports within the office.
Advertising programs, events, opportunities to students and faculty.
Communicating with the faculty and staff of Departments In the college as well as in other Colleges. Following office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
Maintaining files and records with effective filing systems
Supporting other units within the Office of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs with various administrative tasks
Organizing and provide support for office events
Managing, sorting, and dispensing incoming emails and letters
Preparing outgoing email and letters to different entities and units within the office, the college and to other colleges.
Tracking requests made by other departments, units, and colleges.
Arranging and attending office meetings and taking notes, keeping minutes, etc.
Reporting any updates or pertinent issues that need addressing to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs
Upholding and carrying out college policies and procedures with regards to student affairs
Oversee the progress report and business plan pertinent to the Office of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs—CEDU.
Liaise with the Quality Assurance Team with regards to office-related data and reports
Responding to Student Inquiries
Any other tasks as required and assigned by the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Preferred Qualification
- Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree
