Queen Elizabeth Hospital are looking for a friendly and hard working driver to join their team.

Job description

Civilian Driver will be tasked on authorised driving duties local and UK wide by Mechanical Transport (MT) WO RCDM RCDM drivers are to read and sign Driver Standing Orders annually. Additionally, Policy Leaflet 42 contained within JSP 800 Drivers Responsibilities and Conduct

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Checking that all vehicles are roadworthy prior to issue, or use by themselves, and that the checks on road worthiness and cleanliness are carried out.
  • MT Drivers are to ensure that in accordance with JSP 800 all vehicles prior to departure have the correct documentation issued and receive.
  • Reporting any Road Traffic Accident immediately to the MTWO/MT Junior Non-Commissioned Officer (JNCO). Completing at the scene all mandatory Forms/Mechanical Transport (F/MT) series paperwork contained within the Authority To Use Document (ATUD) folder.
  • RCDM drivers are to be aware of the potential disciplinary and liability consequences of carrying unauthorised passengers and/or deviating from authorised routes.
