F&B Associate
Job Summary
As an F&B Associate in the Hotel Industry, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests. You will work closely with the F&B team to deliver high-quality food and beverage services in accordance with established standards. Your role will involve taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
- 2. Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff promptly.
- 3. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- 4. Provide suggestions and recommendations from the menu, taking into account guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- 5. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- 6. Ensure proper table setting and presentation, including the arrangement of cutlery, glassware, and table decorations.
- 7. Clear and clean tables promptly after guests have finished their meals.
- 8. Replenish supplies and stock items as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- 9. Upsell additional food and beverage items, such as desserts, specialty drinks, or promotional offers.
- 10. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors when needed.
- 11. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the dining area.
- 12. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination of food and beverage service.
- 13. Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
- 14. Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and other departments to foster teamwork and enhance guest satisfaction.
- 15. Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on product knowledge, service techniques, and hotel policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or F&B service is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking, serving, and processing payments.
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, handling cash, and making change.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift trays or supplies as required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and willingness to adhere to hygiene standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Regular / Permanent, Fresher
Part-time hours: 60 per week
Salary: ₹8,000.00 – ₹12,000.00 per month
