Warehouse Operative

Become part of a small and growing team that sell food and consumable products globally. You will be a part of the warehouse team, in a fast paced role that is ideal for people with a positive and ‘can do’ attitude. Initial pay will be subject to minimum wage, once completing probationary period this will be increased, we would like someone to join our team from Wednesday to Friday and potentially Saturdays, with the view to increase working days and hours.

As a Warehouse Operative you will be:

Fulfilling customer orders by accurately picking, packing and preparing them for shipping.
Unloading deliveries and replenishing inventory locations.
Stock takes
Physically moving stock around warehouse
Keeping warehouse clean and tidy
Inventory management which will include stock takes, regular checks and organizing products within the warehouse.
Other duties which may include heavy lifting
Data Entry
Research & development on new products
Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse, including organizing storage areas and disposing of waste properly.

The ideal Warehouse Operative will have the following skills:

Must be forward thinking and plan ahead to complete tasks in advance
Must have a strong attention to detail
Must have a positive attitude and be extremely reliable
Ability to work under pressure, and to deadlines
Punctual with excellent timekeeping and attendance
Passed Maths and English GCSE
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 20kg)
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship, Freelance, Zero hours contract, Volunteer, Internship
Contract length: 6-12 months
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
