Nutrition Advisor (Dairy)
We are looking for a dairy nutrition advisor to fill a position within the Centralized Ruminant Service team. This position consists mainly of daily formulating rations and products from the Newton feeding software. He/she will also have to act as an advisor to the users of the service, the Shur-Gain/Trouw Nutrition representatives and the feed mills in the network. This position is open remotely.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform feed formulation using Shur-Gain/Trouw Nutrition technological tools for any type of dairy business (milking robot, free/tie stall etc.)
- Provide technical support to sales representatives of franchise feed mills and Shur-Gain/Trouw Nutrition
- Participate in research and development activities
- Provide customer service for nutrition needs
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Be a graduate in agronomy and a member of the OAQ or have a college diploma in Animal Production and be a member of the Order of Technologists of Quebec
- Have a minimum of two (2) years experience in the field of animal nutrition or the equivalent
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Listening to needs and focused on customer service
- Have a good team spirit and an ability to communicate
- Drive action by maintaining a high level of energy and a sense of urgency
- Be comfortable with computers: Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- French and English spoken and written are essential
