Data Entry and Administration Clerk
Purpose:
Responsible for providing administrative, financial and clerical services as they pertain to the accurate and timely payment of accounts receivable requests, journal entries and all procurement/payables documents while ensuring compliance with all University external legislative and/or agency policies and procedures where applicable.
Education:
Some post-secondary education required, or an equivalent combination of accounting / administration experience & education.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ related experience in a computerized environment. Experience with enterprise reporting systems an asset (ie. PeopleSoft, Maximo, eReports)
Skills:
Ability to attend to detail and maintain confidentiality. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with people. Exercises good judgment, tact and diplomacy. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to obtain and provide information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team. High accuracy & data entry skills with a strong attention to detail required. Good organizational skills. Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure of high volume. Ability to work independently and as a team member while meeting strict deadlines. Good oral and written communication skills.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated skills and ability in database systems or finance / enterprise reporting platforms. Familiar with Office 365 Platform (including Outlook, Word and Excel).
